Passion

In representing District 25, I will be an advocate for smart and responsible Economic Development in my district. I will be an engaged and active partner with the SC Department of commerce, REWA, County Council and City Councils, as well as County and City Departments and State agencies like the SCDOT.

District 25 needs someone who understands these agencies and who can navigate them with ease and efficiency to correct our infrastructure issues, attract and recruit larger companies who can provide higher paying jobs to my constituents, and make our District business friendly again while not compromising our quality of life.

I am passionate about influencing women in the Construction, Architecture, Real Estate, and Facility Management fields. I believe in embracing, encouraging, and leading collaborative community improvement projects as well as being an ambassador for industry trends like Green building initiatives. I firmly believe in being actively involved in your community and industry sets an example for other industry professionals and helps to influence and inspire people to embrace what they are passionate about. Among  many accomplishments, I am very proud to be a 2014 graduate of the Community and Economic Development Program from the South Carolina Economic Development Institute by the South Carolina Department of Commerce.

Goals

A few of the goals I have in representing District 25 in the SC House of Representatives includes:

Writing, working on, and supporting bills that fight against drug and alcohol abuse in SC.

Work with other legislators and County and State officials to reduce crime and improve emergency response times in my District, and

Ensure that District 25 is open and ready for strategically planned development.

Faith, Family and Freedom

The first and most important thing you need to know about me is that I seek God's will first in everything I do, and my family is the greatest blessing I have ever been given. I will share my professional resume below but I also want you to know some personal things about me as well. I want you to know I am a wife, a mother, and a Grandmother to 3 beautiful grandchildren. In my spare time I love to cook, do crafting projects, and play with our dogs.

I take this responsibility very seriously.  It is a humbling experience that should never be taken lightly when another human being gives you the power of their vote; your vote is your voice!

If you believe in the need for local representation in infrastructure improvements as well as future planning, engaging in our Economic Development on a State and Local level, as well as strategic planning for Technology and Energy needs that reflects responsible spending, and the need for someone to advocate for higher paying jobs that offer quality benefits being brought into our district then I am your voice.

I am happy to talk to anyone who has questions or would like to learn more. Thank you for your support and most importantly your prayers.
